Headaches are an extremely common medical complaint, but they often spark concern that there may be a serious underlying cause, such as brain tumour. However, the great majority of headache and migraines which cause intense pain but are medically harmless.
More rarely, headaches can be a signal that something is seriously wrong. Danger signs are additional symptoms like drowsiness, visual disturbances, vomiting loss of balance or loss of memory.
